Taroudant to Essaouira -10 May 2023 (296kms)

Drive toward the coast. Traffic all the way so it’s slow. We take the ring road around Agadir but its chaotic. “Only fools tread near to Agadir”.
We stop for coffee and shake our heads at insane drivers.
Out of Agadir and north up the Atlantic Coast. The temperature has dropped to 22degs and its pleasant. We see the first signs of an economy. Agadir port has masses of fishing boats and oil and gas storage facilities. The beaches aren’t bad. On the cliffs above the beaches, humpies provide homes for locals. The wind is picking up.
We turn inland and within a kilometre the temp has soared to 40 degrees. The ride north is unfortunately via the inland road. It’s hot, dry and windy. Cars are hogging the road so red flags as we ride. Concentration required.
Finally, we arrive at Essoeira. The wind is up, the water is dirty. Our respite is the Accor hotel. Nice!
Singo dismissed the traditional tea welcoming ceremony with a look that was part disappointment part astonishment. ” Nah, I want a beer, I’m sick of this sugary tea shit.”
We wander off to check out the Medina. Mike, Andy, Hanna & David come back with haircuts!
Dinner tonight at a restaurant on the beach.
