The weather was fine as we rode off from the now familiar Princess St shops. The spring riders consisted of Gibbo, Singo, Palamino Pete, Richo and Tony. Russ was a scratching this morning, something to do with an extraction of a son from Bolivia.
We took to the Putty Road and stuck to it, well like putty on a window frame through the turns and straights until we got to the Royal at Denman where we refreshed for the meandering run through the Bylong Valley arriving at Mudgee late afternoon.
Lodgings were at the Orient Hotel and a marvellous dinner was had at Eltons.
Up early for breakfast and then a ride to Gulgong to visit the pub featured on the old $10 note. “Feel the nostalgia”, Lewy said to himself. Singo ever the warrior thought he should go game hunting while at 120kms and nailed a Budgie! The crew behind saw the puff of feathers and thought that hitting a budgie with a 325 kg machine was like cracking a nut with a sledgehammer, but who were they to question Singos motives. It was not till later that Singo realised that said Budgie was wedged between the foot plate and brake and he had a panic attack (something Hitcockian) and made Gibbo remove it.
Then for a straight run back home.
Another successful Fox adventure.
