Fortingall to Maffat – 21 May 2024 (305kms)
Trip A: Lewy, Hydro, Singo
(Fortingall, Dundee, St Andrews, Moffat)
Lewy’s bike is in Dundee being repaired. Steve drives Pete in the mini & Singo rides along. The bike is secured & we head to St Andrews Old Course for a look. We grab some t-shirts & head to Moffat. Steve chooses every B road to make the trip more interesting. It’s a full day, arriving the Baccleuch Hotel at 4pm. Dave is a passionate biker & welcomes us in. Has a shed full of cleaning materials for our bikes. Yeah….nah.
Trip B: Tony, Russ, Boxy
(Fortingall to Moffat)
The boys take the scheduled route that takes them through rolling countryside past Loch Lomond and then to the coast. Jump on a car ferry to cross the Firth of Clyde and traverse roads less travelled through the Scotlands lowlands.
All back together again, it’s Drinks & dinner at the Baccleuch Hotel.
